About Me

My passion is playing and teaching the Native American Flute "from the heart. " In the past I taught University level classes in Communication. My training in the NAF includes four certificates of completion at the Zion Canyon Flute School in Springdale, Utah at the intermediate and advanced levels, and workshops with Mark Holland, Michael Graham Allen, Scott August, Cornell Kinderknecht , Clint Goss and others. I offer classes in flute playing through the Institute of Continued Learning (ICL), an adult education branch of Dixie State University. Go to the University website for class schedules and descriptions. I also offer private lessons. Contact me through this website if you wish to know more.

I have been playing for about four years and love the flute and music that comes from it.

About Me

I am a broadcast engineer. I am also an active scouter. When you visit a Varsity Scout Mountain Man Rendezvous, the blacksmith there is me. The flute started out as a prop, but as I learned to play a little the sound captured my heart. I have several flutes now. Some by Mad Max which are superb. The travel flute is a Virgin River. And then a few 5 hole cedar flutes made on the Navajo reservation.

About Me

I make both Native American style flutes and rim blown Anasazi style flutes. Also love playing them, especially while hiking with my dogs.
